Mission Statement The EAF provides a methodology for people to transform powerful emotions into defensible, real-world solutions. It is designed to be portable across contexts — usable for law, policy, business, grassroots community organizing, or personal projects.
Core Principles
Powerful Emotions as Compass: Anger, frustration, grief, or hope are not obstacles but signals of injustice or opportunity. They guide action.
Intellectual Humility: Solutions evolve through critique and data, not dogma. “Trust, but verify” applies first to ourselves.
First Steps Matter: Monumental goals are reframed into achievable actions. Impossible → difficult → inevitable.
Kindness, Boundaries, Patience: Sustainable change requires care for people, not just outcomes. Burnout is treated as a design flaw.
Commitment to Human Dignity: Every solution must respect and enhance dignity.
Phase 1: Situational Analysis
Map the landscape: legal, cultural, social, institutional.
Gather data: scholarship, testimony, lived experience.
Synthesize findings into clear, testable insights.
Phase 2: Strategy & Solution Design
Define the desired outcome (precise and human-centered).
Scan for allies and precedents; learn from existing solutions.
